We are pleased to announce the dates for our upcoming wildlife rehabilitation orientation and training. The classes will be Saturday, October 21, 2017 from 10:00 AM-6:00 PM and Sunday, October 22, 2017 from 1:00 PM-7:00 PM and will be held in Charlotte, NC. This class will provide basic information on the care and feeding of wildlife as well as hands-on instruction in dealing with injuries and other medical issues that may exist. The cost for the class is $75, and attendance on both days of the class is required.
If you are over 18, live within a 50-mile radius of Charlotte, and are able and willing to rehabilitate wildlife in your own home, this is your opportunity to join Animal Rehabilitators of the Carolinas as we provide care for orphaned and injured wildlife. ARC members are required to cover two four-hour hotline shifts each month, using the Google Voice system, which can be accessed by using your computer, home phone, or cell phone.
Please fill out our volunteer application and volunteer agreement and return them to: Yanina Razak, 6033 Agate Court, Tega Cay, SC 29708 no later than October 6 if you would like to attend the October 21-22 training class. You may also fill out the forms electronically and send them as PDF files via email to Yanina at yaninarazak@gmail.com. Class size is limited, so please return your completed forms as soon as possible. After we have reviewed your information, we will send you a confirmation email, at which time you should send your $75 check to reserve your spot in the class.
We look forward to meeting you on October 21.
